Over the next few weeks, the Amarillo EDC will continue our Millennial Campaign, where we showcase distinguished young professionals in our community. The millennial of this month is Samantha “Sammi” Gallagher.
Gallagher is a project director, award-winning equestrian, and marketing expert. At age 27, she dominates the fields of both marketing and horsemanship alike. She remains active in the community and participates in several organizations.
In the Q&A below, Gallagher describes who she is, what her job entails, and what she does when she isn’t working.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Grand Blanc, Michigan, but definitely consider myself a Texan now!
What brought you here?
The short version: I transferred to WTAMU to compete on their equestrian team and fell in love with the area and my job.
Where do you work?
I have worked at ROI Online for the past four years.
What does your business do?
ROI Online is an internet marketing agency here in Amarillo, Texas. We help business leaders transition into the modern age of marketing.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
I don’t have just one! The team that I work with is absolutely amazing; I can’t say enough nice things about them.
I also love the fact that I get to talk to so many different business leaders from so many industries. It has allowed me to learn and grow so much as a business professional.
What do you like to do for fun?
I love being outside! Hiking, biking, running and, of course, riding horses.
What community organizations are you involved in?
I am an active member of the Panhandle Golden Spread Quarter Horse Association, AQHA and volunteer my time teaching horseback riding lessons. I also help tutor high school kids and help area 4-H’ers with their program projects.
