Approval ushers in the creation of 50 new jobs
Today, the Amarillo City Council approved a Location Incentive Agreement presented by the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation (Amarillo EDC) to support the expansion of Micro Technologies, a part of MWI Animal Health, in Amarillo. This ratification comes after approval by the Amarillo EDC Board of Directors on September 21, 2020. This final step in the approval process allows the Amarillo EDC to provide an incentive agreement which will allow MWI Animal Health to hire an additional 50 full-time employees and expand its facility.

Micro Technologies, a part of MWI Animal Health, is a leading provider of advanced, comprehensive and integrated animal management systems and solutions for livestock producers. The company, which works with cattle producers and dairies throughout North America, offers innovate technologies that empower food producers to grow a safe, wholesome food supply more efficiently and profitably.
Micro Technologies will expand its current 69,000 square foot facility with a 5,000 square foot addition to the second floor over the production area and a 6,000 square foot stand-alone assembly and manufacturing building. The company will also hire 50 new additional full-time positions, which will increase the projected payroll by $3.25MM.
